The family festival offered a colourful programme for the whole family, including stage acts, manufacturing exhibitions and an in-house trade fair. A small train provided comfortable transport for the visitors across the extensive grounds. Children enjoyed bouncy castles, a climbing wall and a forklift course, among many other attractions. BUTTING apprentices presented the 12 different apprenticeships and had come up with some special ideas for this purpose: ranging from a welding simulator and a 3D printer to shooting training with a ball and balancing on a perforated wall to the building of birdhouses and barbecue tongs. Since the topic of sustainability is a high priority at BUTTING, it was not neglected on the family day either: Among others, our partner for green power generation as well as our BUTTING employees' support association and the integration workshop were represented with their own stands. To conclude the event, on the following Sunday a service of the Lutheran parish in Knesebeck was celebrated on the company grounds.
Thomas Schüller came to a positive conclusion:
"I am delighted at the large number of visitors and the great interest shown by our employees and their relatives. Our employee family is something very special – and of course the families and friends of our employees are just as close to our hearts. We can all be proud to be part of this wonderful community. At BUTTING, celebrating successes together with the employees is a long-standing tradition. Last year's "All aboard" staff party was certainly a great event, but this year's festival was for the whole family. Because families are what make our society colourful, diverse and vibrant.. With the family festival, we want to show our appreciation to our employees and their families and simply say “thank you”. A big thank you also to all the helpers who made this day possible!"
