BUTTING in Knesebeck

BUTTING is deeply rooted in Knesebeck, in the district of Gifhorn, Lower Saxony. We have had our home here since 1945. Initially based in the Knesebeck rifle clubhouse, we began rebuilding production in 1949 on the site of a disused tile factory.

We have grown continuously since then. On the works site, which now stretches to more than 535 000 m², more than 10 000 t of stainless steel and clad steel are processed each year.

Today, BUTTING in Knesebeck is one of the largest employers of the region. More than 1 680 employees work at the plant in Knesebeck, and more than 100 apprentices are continually trained in 11 different trades.

The focus of the activities in Knesebeck lies in manufacturing longitudinally welded pipes from coils and plate, processing into pipe components ready to be installed as part of comprehensive prefabrication capacities, and in pipe technology.
