Michaela Nolte, Project Manager Employer Attractiveness, explains: “After user tests with products from various suppliers, BUTTING opted for the high-quality solution in the upper price segment. We obtain the new stainless steel drinking bottles from the sustainable supplier “Blockhütte”. The bottles are 100% food-safe and completely harmless to health.” They replace around 500 plastic bottles a year, which were BPA-free and tasteless but produced waste. The new stainless steel bottles offer many advantages: All drinks are kept warm or cool for up to 24 hours, they are refillable at our internal water dispensers, dishwasher-safe and free from microplastics.
Our supplier, the young company “Blockhütte” from Paderborn, has set itself the goal of reducing plastic and plastic waste. The founders of “Blockhütte” emphasize that by using sustainable stainless steel products, the average plastic consumption of 40 kg per person per year can be reduced by up to 6 kg. This fits seamlessly into BUTTING's sustainability vision.
