In the morning a total of 41 new apprentices, together with their families, gathered on the factory premises in Knesebeck to undertake the first step in their professional careers. The parents of the aspiring apprentices were impressed by the openness and organisation of the event. They found the involvement of families in the training launch particularly valuable.
Thomas Schüller, Managing Director at BUTTING in Knesebeck, initiated the training launch with a speech: "BUTTING has been training apprentices for different professions for over 70 years. In the past decades, we have successfully trained more than 1 200 apprentices for different occupational fields. Our apprentices are one of the most important building blocks for the future success of our company. We want to give young people the opportunity to discover and live out their passion in their profession and become responsible skilled workers in the future."
The apprentices were then given a guided tour of the different production areas, in the course of which they gained an insight into BUTTING's processes. This was followed by refreshments shared together and a round of personal presentations.
Carsten Kamke, responsible for industrial-technical training at Knesebeck, concluded the training launch with the words: "For my colleagues in the training department and for me, it is particularly inspiring to accompany young people along their way and to provide them with a qualified education. The exciting journey for our newcomers has begun and we look forward to discovering new talent."
At BUTTING Anlagenbau in Schwedt, a total of 14 new apprentices began their training on the same day. "This year we have expanded the range of our apprenticeships and have been able to fill all the places. This year, for example, we are training 13 plant fitters and, for the first time, an IT specialist," reported Roland Hoffmüller, who is responsible for industrial-technical training at the Schwedt site. Even before the training launch, an information day was held on 8 July, during which the Schwedt apprentices had the chance to get to know the company and their fellow apprentices.
At BUTTING CryoTech in Burgkirchen, Bavaria, the new training year starts on 1 September with five new apprentice metal workers. That too will be celebrated by BUTTING traditionally.
