The study support programme has for more than 25 years been aimed at future Bachelor or Masters students in engineering, economics and computer science. With the study support programme, BUTTING aims to assist young people – mostly from the local area – to fulfil their professional plans and meet the increasing demands of industry. As sole managing partner, Hermann Butting says: "Our study support programme offers young, motivated and skilled staff the very best prospects."
The scholarship holders receive basic financial support and a bonus for very good performance. In addition, the BUTTING Academy provides competent mentors and study support for the scholarship holders. The aim is to provide support in actively reflecting on and planning personal and technical development.
Regular network meetings with all scholarship holders are a core part of the support programme so they can share their ideas with each other. These meetings focus on different subject areas: they have introduced BUTTING's current strategic projects and provided an insight into a Bachelor's dissertation. A short workshop on "Interdisciplinary Skills" gave the scholarship holders ideas about effective stress management.
Florian Krüger, a former scholarship holder in business and mechanical engineering, now works for BUTTING's Sales department. "I have nothing but good things to say about the BUTTING study support programme: The regular network meetings and deployment in the business provide additional skills over and above the study content; you learn about BUTTING from different perspectives and are always up-to-date."
Hermann Butting explains the objectives: "The BUTTING study support programme sets in motion a lasting win-win situation for young people and for our company. We're shaping our future together. First, BUTTING supports the scholarship holders to become well-trained, skilled professionals with a wide range of expertise. Later, the former scholarship holders help to shape BUTTING's future success. It's important to us that the young people get to know different roles and finally are deployed in the area where they can develop their potential to the full."
