The Company Run in Braunschweig had a new record number of participants. 5 000 company runners from more than 250 firms throughout the entire economic region ran the five kilometre route in and around the football stadium, with its rich traditions. And BUTTING was there too: A total of 29 participants from Knesebeck signed up. Jan Holz, responsible for workplace health promotion, is proud of this development: "We were able to increase the number of participants again compared to previous years. Fourteen apprentices also signed up for this year's Company Run. That's a considerable achievement."
Frank Tetzlaff, captain of the BUTTING team, also takes a positive view: "It was a super experience to run in a team with young and older colleagues, a good mixture. Next year we want to inspire other colleagues to take part in the Company Run as well."
"The aim of workplace health promotion is to maintain and improve the physical, mental, psychological and social health of all our employees, across all risk and age groups", adds Jan Holz. "So taking part in the Company Run is a good thing for health and also encourages team spirit."
Workplace health promotion is very important to BUTTING. The employees of the family company can take advantage of a wide variety of preventive health and safety measures. These range from regular "fruit days" through free heart, circulation and skin screenings to free advice on addiction and classes to prevent back pain.
