The Hands-On Days I
The main topics are:
- Introduction to material science
- Basic principles of steel coil and steel plate production
- Introduction to surface technology
- Introduction to quality assurance
- European and American standard norms
- The "perfect" pipe request
The key concepts are discussed in brief theoretical lectures before the attendees can experience them in practice in current production.
The next German-language events will be held on:
- 11 and 12 March 2024
- 3 and 4 June 2024
- 21 and 22 October 2024
The Hands-On Days I event will be held in English from 22 to 24 April.
The Hands-On Days II
The lectures and practical experience will be continued at the Hands-On Days II event, which focuses on the following topics:
- Welding – a special process in pipe production
- Errors in the machining of corrosion-resistant steels and their effects
- Workshop: Mechanised welding
- Workshop: Different machining processes and their impact on the quality and functionality of the pipe
- Possibilities for pipe finishing – forming, turning, milling, cutting
This training course will take place on 18 and 19 November 2024. Hands-On Days II builds on the content of Hands-On Days I and is therefore aimed at experienced employees from commercial enterprises who work with pipes and pipe fittings.
