Last year, our BUTTING Anlagenbau site in Schwedt invested almost 3 million euros in better working conditions and carried out extensive modernisations and expansions in thewarehouse-logistics-shipping area. One of the latest investments was the construction of a new hall complex – the new enlarged warehouse. This resulted in a significant increase in storage capacity. The social building next door offers state-of-the-art working conditions for employees of the warehouse, logistics and shipping departments. It boasts spacious break rooms, offices, sanitary facilities and changing rooms. The new premises mean that staff will be able to work at modern, ergonomic workstations for the future. By centralising the three departments in one place and shortening the distances between areas on the company premises, work processes improve, resulting in greater efficiency and improved workflows.
In addition to the new hall complex, investments were made to expand the shipping area. The storage capacities in the outdoor area were increased to ensure shorter waiting times and faster processes in future. A modernised, covered loading facility allows the shipping process to be more reliable in bad weather. The loading and unloading area for haulage companies was also made more customer-friendly.
Marko Busse, Managing Director of BUTTING Anlagenbau, explains: “Overall, the Schwedt site is very well positioned to meet the growing demands of the market and to further strengthen its position as an expert unit for vessel and pipe construction, international assembly and industrial services. Our efficient production facilities, attractive working conditions and skilled employees form the basis for the success of our company.”
