The runners had to complete the two-kilometre course three times. Thus all the participants passed the start and finish area several times and could be cheered on by the numerous spectators at the course round the old town. A total of six BUTTING teams and 26 employees took part. Three male teams and one female team registered for the run, and two teams for the Nordic walking competition.
At the prize ceremony, the most successful teams were chosen, and only the time of the third team runner was taken into account in the evaluation. BUTTING's Team 1 achieved an excellent second place in the Nordic walking team competition. The women runners gained a fine third place overall.
Wioleta Lomanowska, employed in the Technology and Installation department at BUTTING Anlagenbau, organised the participation of the BUTTING teams and gave a positive summary: "We were overwhelmed by the positive response of the spectators and the runners. What mattered most to us was to focus on reinforcing the feeling of togetherness and shared activity with colleagues at the event. BUTTING will definitely be taking part with several teams next year."
