BUTTING: New sales office in the desert city of Dubai

For several years now the United Arab Emirates has served BUTTING as the main hub for its business activities in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. As part of BUTTING’s continued success and expansion in this market we are pleased to announce the opening of our new sales office in Dubai, UAE.

Simon Howell, Sales Director MENA Region, will continue to head the new representative office in the desert city of Dubai, UAE with a view for further expansion. Simon Howell with an engineering-based background has amassed over 30 years’ experience in the pipeline manufacturing piping business, substantially in hot roll bonded (HRB) metallurgically clad pipes, mechanically lined BuBi^® and GluBi^® pipes (MLP) as well as longitudinally welded corrosion resistant alloy pipes (CRA).

During his more than 30 years’ service he has worked in various capacities for the BUTTING Group in several locations such as UK, Europe, USA and for the last 22 years Middle East. Simon Howell a native British national says: “I am proud to be a long-term member and part of the BUTTING Group. It’s global success over the past years is testament to the BUTTING philosophy and its ability to react quickly and flexible to international markets. That’s why I look forward to contributing to BUTTING’s continued success.”

BUTTING is the only pipe manufacturer in the world that produces both longitudinally welded, metallurgically clad pipes and mechanically lined pipes. In 2019, BUTTING also brought the improved version of the BuBi^® pipe to market: the GluBi^® pipe, a glue bonded mechanically lined pipe. This can be laid by the Reel-Lay process, without using inner pressure or increasing the wall thickness of the corrosion resistant liner.
