It helps to standardise requirements throughout the nuclear supply chain, leading to an improvement in quality, time and costs for customers and suppliers. In addition, ISO 19443 contributes to our company's understanding of safety," says Thomas Knöfel, Head of Quality Management at BUTTING in Knesebeck.
In this respect, BUTTING has made an important addition to its HSEQ policy for the production of nuclear products: "Nuclear safety is BUTTING's top priority: we always adhere to the principle that the safety of our products takes precedence over everything else and must not be jeopardised by other priorities, such as deadline pressure or costs," explains Thomas Knöfel.
