Norbert Heinzle, Managing Director at Knesebeck, explains: "The main focus for us was to put our customers even more at the centre of our activities, to be even closer to them and to continue to improve in terms of speed and efficiency. We therefore wanted to reduce the complexity of processes, cut down on the number of organisational interfaces, create transparent, end-to-end responsibilities, and thereby shorten processing times for quotations and orders in a sustainable way. These optimised processes were also implemented within a new organisational structure."
Based on the sales orientation and the findings from the optimised processes, a new organisational structure with four business units (BU) and two central units (CU) was established.
In the course of the organisational change, all four head of BU positions have been filled.
Going forward, responsibility will lie with the following people:
- Henning Lütkemüller, BU Stainless steel welded pipes
- Marc Brauße, BU Clad pipes
- Dieter Kleen, BU Spools and plant construction
- Jörn Kubiak, BU Customised components
These four business units are led by Norbert Heinzle, while the two central units are led by managing directors Dirk Meinecke and Thomas Schüller.
Norbert Heinzle is convinced: "Our employees will be closer to the order flow – everything from the preparation of a quotation to the delivery of a customer order is the responsibility of a business unit. In this way, we are aligning ourselves with customer needs in all business units, using synergy effects for the greater benefit of our customers and thereby improving customer satisfaction."
