"We're not just taking part in this event to show off our sporting prowess," declared Stefanie Tutay, the head of HR at BUTTING. "The feeling of togetherness and activities with colleagues are important components of the race." So all the starters did their best, in spite of the summer temperature. After the finishing line, a cool, refreshing drink awaited the sporty bosses, employees and apprentices.
At the awards ceremony, the most successful participants were given trophies and non-cash prizes. Along with the performances of individual runners, the team performance times were also rewarded. Here the teams from BUTTING in Knesebeck achieved outstanding performances: the men's team gained 4th place out of 187 teams, and the women's team came 13th out of 77 teams. The best-placed BUTTING apprentice was Niclas Zierenberg in a time of 23.34 minutes and in ninth place among all the trainees.
Stefanie Tutay: "As well as the super results of our employees, the day was rounded off by the great weather, the excellent organisation by the AOK and the good spirit in the BUTTING team. We're already looking forward to the next time!"
