It was a lively occasion, with around 150 guests – including the employees of the construction companies involved – and the staff of BUTTING Schwedt in attendance. Both the warehouse with its considerable dimensions of approx. 18 x 48 metres and the additional social building were presented during the ceremony. Mario Kulow, Managing Director of BUTTING Anlagenbau, opened the event with an emotional speech. Standing on the scaffolding underneath the ceremonial topping-out crown, he spoke to the guests: "Here we can celebrate another great milestone in the company history of BUTTING Schwedt. We're expanding our shipping area, previously too small, and building a new warehouse with a social building. We are continuing to grow. This is also part of our BUTTING mission statement. We are proud to be able to create meaning and quality of life here together with you." He paid special tribute to the performance of all the craftspeople involved and thanked them for their work. He then handed over to Andreas Henschke, the person in charge of construction at BUTTING Schwedt, who gave the topping-out speech and sent a full glass smashing against the wall of the hall.
Everyone then celebrated together over delicious food and drinks. Some of the residents living right next to the company premises also accepted the invitation, and did not miss the opportunity to take a look at the construction site and celebrate the happy event together with the BUTTING team.
