BUTTING Anlagenbau in Schwedt is investing

"Progress by Tradition" has been the motto of BUTTING for decades. We invest not only in the further development of our employees, but also continuously in production facilities across all of our locations. For example, BUTTING Anlagenbau in Schwedt has recently integrated a new pipe cutting device into the production process.

Marko Busse, the Managing Director of BUTTING in Schwedt, explains: "This piece of equipment is used in the construction of pipelines and vessel construction for cutting pipes. We are investing in this plant, in order to be able to cut pipes with large diameters of up to DN 700 for prefabrication".

The CNC-controlled plasma cut fixture enables a pipe holder with a diameter of 100 to 700 mm. Pipes can have a maximum weight of approx. 3,000 kilograms and a maximum length of approx. 6,000 mm.

Marko Busse summarises the advantages of the new system: "The new underwater plasma cutting process allows us to significantly reduce separation dust load in the production hall. In addition, we will be able to reduce process costs by saving time when cutting large diameter pipes". With regard to employees, he adds: "The system also makes work considerably easier for employees".
