BUTTING Anlagenbau and AMU Schwedt join forces

1.October 2023: this date marks an important milestone for BUTTING Anlagenbau and AMU Schwedt GmbH, which will work even more closely together in the future. In picturesque Kuhheide, the BUTTING Group is expanded through the integration of AMU Schwedt GmbH, directly opposite the BUTTING Anlagenbau site. An exciting chapter of integration begins.

The paths of BUTTING Anlagenbau and AMU Schwedt have been crossing in plant construction for a long time. The proximity and similar fields of activity in plant construction have created a natural alliance based on cooperation and fair competition. Following extensive negotiations, BUTTING Anlagenbau has taken over the role of shareholder in AMU Schwedt GmbH. This change will have little impact on AMU's employees and customers for the time being, as the usual business continuity will be maintained. The excitement at BUTTING Anlagenbau over the new partnership is clearly noticeable. Marko Busse, Managing Director of BUTTING Anlagenbau: "We are very much looking forward to a successful collaboration and warmly welcome AMU Schwedt and its employees to the BUTTING family! Together, we can strengthen ourselves economically and successfully shape our future."

With a workforce of 30 industrial and seven commercial employees, supported by work contract partners and temporary workers in times of increased capacity utilisation, AMU Schwedt is making a strong contribution to the future partnership. Renowned companies such as Leipa Schwedt, AWP/GEA and CEMEX Rüdersdorf are among its core customers. The extensive company premises extend over 33 000 square metres, including production halls, warehouses and an office building.

Marko Busse explains the objective as follows: "In the short term, we expect to intensify existing business relationships and strengthen strategic partnerships. The augmented workforce and combined expertise should help to strengthen and expand market share in plant construction. The takeover also enables BUTTING Anlagenbau to utilize hall and open spaces on the AMU site in order to meet the constantly growing space requirements. In the medium and long term, we are planning to integratespecialist competences, restructure maintenance for machines and tools and use additional space for optimized process management." Together, the two companies are clearly focussing on their future development. "We see this promising partnership as an ideal basis for moving successfully into the future," says the Managing Director.
