AZAV certification is based on ISO 9001 and is crucial for cooperation between training providers and various institutions, such as the Job Centre or the Federal Employment Agency. Against this background, certification was an important step towards securing the future of BUTTING Akademie gGmbH.
The necessary documents were sent to the certification body for the pre-audit, which was conducted in July. Jens Meyer, QM Officer of the Integration Workshop, and Heide Hohmann, Deputy Project Manager, prepared, designed and coordinated these documents. The documents included, for example, the process descriptions of the individual areas of the Integration Workshop, the overview of the technical equipment, guidelines for occupational health and safety, and templates for the development reports of the individual participants. Each work process had to be qualified and documented.
With the support of Thomas Knöfel, Head of Quality Management at BUTTING in Knesebeck, and Jan-Hendrik Godau, Head of HSE at BUTTING in Knesebeck, the audit was then conducted in October. At the end of last year the time had finally come: the Integration Workshop staff could proudly hold the AZAV certificate in their hands.
Heide Hohmann explains: "For us, this qualification marks an important step towards quality improvement, and this occurs in several ways: in the area of occupational health and safety as well as in the further training of our staff and in the training of our participants. Our previous work structure was adapted to the QMS and fine-tuned. Our efforts have paid off: the Integration Workshop has proven that it meets high quality standards."
