BUTTING CryoTech

With effect from 1 July 2021, formerly Schwanner GmbH will become a full member of the BUTTING Group. Since April 2023, the Bavarian family business SCHWANNER is now operating under the new name "BUTTING CryoTech". 

Founded in 1899, BUTTING CryoTech (formerly SCHWANNER) evolved from a small forge into a globally leading MSE specialising in vacuum technology. The core business is in the field of vacuum-insulated transfer systems and the manufacture of cryogenic valves.

In addition to their specialist interests, BUTTING and BUTTING CryoTech have many other things in common: product quality and customer satisfaction have always been top priorities – both companies can look back on a long history and both take responsibility with regard to their employees, fellow human beings and the environment.

It is a shared vision to combine the strengths in the field of pipe production and plant construction with the special expertise in vacuum-insulated pipes.
